  2. Was there a Marathon 101?

Just checking, I assume it’s a prerequisite to Ultramarathon :D

  3. Rick, you could probably go as speaker!

Idnod, bwahaha. They actually should’ve started with 5k 101 :)

  6. Unless!!! … there’s a shortcut :D

    A bit off topic…

Is the Mizuno (High Street) weekly thing a sort of, running clinic? is there such a thing in the south suburbs (Sucat/Alabang)? even just on weekends like Saturdays.

  7. My brother designed the poster, thanks for the compliment hehehe. In this semniar we will introduce what is an ultra marathon and how to complete one. We will be discussing upcomming ultra marathon events and training schedules of the team that people can take part in.

There are three members in our team who completed their first marathon several weeks before the 65km Sagada run. Ultra marathons range from a variety of distances (50km, 60km 100km, to 400km) “hangang 100km lang kami hehehe”.

Please attend if you have time, we want to build another challenge for runners. Jaymie thank you very much for posting. Hope to see you there.

  9. Taki, ang bilis mo ah! Hay, sisiw na yan sa yo :)

Mike, if there’s a marathon 101 at least we know of 3 registrants. You, me and Idnod!

Idnod, Mizuno is a running clinic. Every other thursday 7pm. I heard there’s a runnex-adidas-UP Chk clinic sundays 530am at UP. As for the south, I don’t think there’s any. I heard runners in the south are naturals, they don’t even need clinics anymore… hehehe

Neville, thanks for the info! Looking forward to this :)

Superman, I hope so! Anti-rain dance time!

  10. Uh oh!!! I hope you didn’t hit a nerve with the southies being naturals :D

The Mizuno is a great idea but kinda too late for me even if I’m coming from the Makati area.

I just hope someone or some company like Mizuno decides to check out the possibilities (feasibility) in the south. For now I’ll just stick to my dizzying 570m park laps (geez!!!) – that’s right! approx 9 laps for 5K and 18 laps for 10K

BRunner – do enjoy the recovery, and definitely I’m in on any Marathon 101s and under.

A great and safe weekend to all!!!

  11. I would just like to echo the need for a running clinic in the south. I am sure there are a lot of people in the southern suburbs of Manila who would like to take up running or would like to learn the proper way to go running. T

You can hold the clinic either at the Festival Mall parking lot and have the run at the Filinvest area near Westgate (beside Petron). Its a beautiful place surrounded by trees and nature. You can have a 5 kilometer run which is uphill, downhill and flats.
