4. by the time i reached the finish line the time was 2:11:13. my official race time is 2:10:39. also, i came ahead of a friend but the according to the results posted, he crossed the finish first. oh well…

5. I’d like answer Mai Mai’s question. How they kept track of our time?
   Mai, as you cross the finish line a time keeper marshal pushes a click swith and it records your time and rank as you cross the line.

   Remember the barcoded stub in your bib that the officials pull out while inside chute? That stub comes into a spindle in the order of your finish rank. Technical officials just match them. your barcode stub and time based on the ranking.

   Whether they match it manually or by a computer, same results are produced. Now here’s the catch. if a bandit enters the chute it will disloge your rank and you will get a slower time than your actual time of finish.
