It gives me a glimpse of what I left behind and the amazing changes time has done. God and your guardian angel was surely looking after you and the kids. With a very active son like Rick, all the "ifs" are always on my mind specially when he does one of this 100 miler. I've pleaded with him to just do shorter races but as you know it fell on deaf ears. I've always worried about mountain lions, bears, cayotes to name a few when Rick runs at night. All I can do is pray harder, put in my special request to God and leave the consequences to Him. I'm really glad you are all okay. Hi Jaymie,

I completely agree with you that there are a lot of things that we take for granted in our daily lives and then we encounter some of this "close calls" which reminds me of some of the stuff i learned when I was still doing boxing which Id like to share... "Protect yourself at all times" It never fails me. God is really good to save us on near unfortunate events but sometimes it also pays more to pay extra attention on our surroundings.
