You have an intriguing name there. Looks like you are mostly running 90% VO2max. But I’m digressing from your question. Yes there are still accommodations cheaper than P1.5k. At the moment there are a couple of rooms which is good for quadruple sharing at P1.2k per room. If you are on a string budget you may opt for a dorm-type setup, gender-segregated that is, at P350 per bed. If you want to be more adventurous you could choose camping; if you have your own tent, camping fee is P100 or you could just rent out a tent from Sun Cruises at P500 per unit. We decided to move it to Dec 6 to avoid a head-on collission with a race which has very worthy cause, the NB Power race. But don’t fret if you won’t be able to join CC, there’s next year. Then again, it will be tougher and probably longer. Hehehe!

Sorry there won’t be. But for top 3 finishers of each gender category there will be gold, silver, and bronze medals.

This is sort of a hybrid race, with 70% of the race route comprised by concrete roads which are 60% uphill, and the remaining 30% composed of one segment of a little over 400m of dirt patch and another segment measuring about 1 mile of rocky trail. If I were to be one of the racers in this run, I will opt to wear a pair of trail shoes. Other than providing my feet much protection on those trail segments, it will give me better traction in scaling those intimidating uphill slopes. And by the way, ROX has been so generous to give 20% discount to all CC race registrants on their purchase of a pair of sleek Vasque or Salomon trail shoes beginning next next week. Nice name. Yes to both of your questions. And as an added info, guests/supporters of race participants will still have to undergo the same reg procedure and pay the same reg fee but won’t get a race packet.
