I have used the same water bottle last milo at bacolod city. You cannot puncture the foil with just your finger. It is thick and is layered with plastic. I usually tape an inch long hard straw (similar to Zesto’s) on its side.

Hopefully they make the foil seal much larger (or with a tab) so that you can pry it off with your fingers.

and i thought D-tags are less expensive than the champion chip. innovations are nice but what is more important is to keep the registration costs affordable. anyway, most of the new items here most runners can do away with. it’s all bells and whistles to me. i can also see litter that includes the new water bottles. it’s not resealable, i dont think most runners will bother saving it.
