  1. Yey! Definitely attending this race. Last year was great with the hills and everything. This promises to be even better. I can’t wait. :D

  4. Pass. Disappointed with last year’s organizers. Race started more than an hour late. A few marshals. Worst is they had us wait in the island for more than 4 hours to ride our boat to get home.

    • Hi Nelly,

As race director I take full responsibility on all lapses that happened on last year’s CC. No use to pass the buck. It should stop on me. It’s just unfortunate that you weren’t able to enjoy the race the way others did. Maybe you really had a not so good experience about the race. By the way, I’m just wondering whether you weren’t informed upon registration that overnight particpants take the first Sunday afternoon ferry to Manila, and the Sunday daytrip participants had to take the second, at 5pm, ferry out of Coregidor. Since it is monitored by the Coastguard, there should be a pre-trip manifest and nobody could board a ferry if they are unlisted in that trip.
Btw, I have a great news for you and the others planning to join, there’s a new organizing team handling this upcoming race. Way, way better than that of CC. And as with the race, I could vouch that it will be well executed with more than ample knowledgeable personnel and support crew. There will be no sweep time, but it will be a lot harder.

      Many tks.

      • Hi Edward, thanks for the prompt response. Hey, quick question, was that you who made a bunch of your customers wait for more than 3 hours at ROX to register for this event last year? I remember the staff saying you went to a meeting and was on your way back but was really traffic in Makati. Pong Pagong wouldn’t take 3 hours to drive from Makati to the Fort.

Oh wait, was that you who organized the Great Kidney Race in Diliman early this year? Hmm, I remember we got sunburned there….because it started an hour late. Should’ve ran Yakult instead.

I wish you all the best in your future races, honey. I really hope you live up to your promises this time. Keep it real.

PS: I did enjoy Corregidor. Loved the hills and killer views but it could have been better without the long wait. And the boat schedule, yes it was announced it was leaving the island late afternoon. It was announced during the boat ride going there and was not in any of the materials in the race kit.

I’m free to discuss live. Give me a ring at 533-1111. Order some pichi-pichi while you’re at it.

TBR – thanks for keeping an open mind on this and letting me post comments (the good and the bad) on your blog. Well appreciated.

  5. Really looking forward to this again, even though it was incredibly wicked last year! I do hope the route is marked better though as there was a lot of confusion.

  9. great route last year except for the last 2 or 3 kilometers(trail beside the mountain) the heat was so intense. no shade. it should be made the first way rather than the last, so that its not yet hot over there.
