Below is the same route map featuring the hydration stations, key stations, and Dream Chaser stations.

  • Hydration stations will have water and Gatorade.  This will be placed at every 1.5 km of the route.
  • Aid Stations will be placed at every other hydration station (approximately 3km).  These will have basic first aid kit, petroleum jelly (vs chafing), salt sachets, Tiger Tail foam roller (vs tight muscles), and Bodivance (for blood circulation and to battle cramps) manned by a nurse.
  • Key Stations will have more stock of water and Gatorade.  These will also have sponges, ice, bananas, Cadbury Zip chocolates, and Tiger biscuits.
  • Dream Chaser Stations will have 10-14 runners who will cheer you on and support you to get you through each kilometer.  Most of our Dream Chasers now are alumni of TBR Dream Batch 2010.  This time, they’ve gone the extra mile—literally and figuratively—to surprise you with super creative and unique ideas for each tent. I heard some have prepared music, cameras, and tons of food!
  • Others:
    • Hammer Gels will be distributed at the assembly area at 1:30 AM.  They will also be placed near the 10km station and 21km station.  We have allocation of 3 gels per runner.
    • Kinesio Taping will be available before and during the race to be placed by certified professionals. Until supplies last.

  1. This is it!

Will there be markers along the route so that we will not get lost?

See you on the 20th! Dream into reality!

  2. Now I can hear my heart thumping! Harharhar…I’m just wondering until where on the map did we cover the 30k bull session? So i have an idea and i can prepare my mind :) thanks!

    • Hahaha! Remember in our 30k in NUVALI we only ran NUVALI BLVD from Solenad to the crest of the hill twice and extra rounds to make up for the missing distance.

In the actual route, when we reach the top of the hill at the end of NUVALI BLVD, you make a LEFT. This spot is actually very scenic and it’s just beautiful if you hit it upon sunrise :) Also, what we didn’t do in our long run was the run around the EVOLIVING LAKE and ABRIO ROTUNDA. This will be included in the race.

  3. I would like to do a pacing strategy for my Dream Marathon.

My problem is I can’t determine the kilometer in the map provided. Gmaps pedometer has an outdated Google map, same with Map My Run.

If it is not too much to ask, could you refer me to our route map that has KM markers?

  4. ms. jaymie is it downhill when we make a LEFT at NUVALI BLVD? how many kilometers more or less from top of the hill of NUVALI BLVD to the MAJOR TURNAROUND PT?

    • hi! If I may answer your query, when you make a left turn at NUVALI blvd towards the major turn around point, the road goes downhill for about 1.5 kms more or less. You will see good views of Laguna de Bay with the sunrise. When you get back up you’ll see views of the Tagaytay ridge.

      • After turning left its a down and up. The most beautiful but will be one of the most challenging on your way to the finish.:) focus on the view so you wont notice the long uphill stretch.

  5. Good luck to TBR2011! I noticed Jaymie, that this route differs from last years in that it doesn’t go up to the bird sanctuary anymore–good idea! I found the unpaved road leading to and from the sanctuary to be a bit treacherous. It was also pitch black when we went through it last year.

    • Yes this year’s route is friendlier to beginners who most likey haven’t tried runnng trails. The challenge last year was negotiating that portion and upon exiting that section greeted by the glorious climbs. But looking back, that section was actually the character of the race, it was the break in the poetic form, it was the comic relief, it was that little blemish that only makes the look awesome.

  11. Hey Jaymie,
Can we leave stuff at the halfway point (like 1/2 the gels we were planning to bring) and pick them up when we start the 2nd loop?

  12. Do you still recommend to bring hydration belt? The hydration stations are strategically in place. This will lessen the load that we will carry during the run. Less effort on running too.
