Reserve Your Nike Lunar Trainers Now

NikeLunar

There’s been a lot of buzz around this shoe, the Nike Lunar Trainers, even if it isn’t out in the market yet. There was the Nike Lunar Test Run we had last August. And I read about Runwitme‘s similar experience in Malaysia.  Plus, Jeannette Wang‘s positive experience using it when she won the Singapore Sundown Ultramarathon (84km) with a time of 9.5 hours.

The Lunar Trainers are set for a limited release this October 2008—meaning the distribution of this shoe is not massive and not a on a wide scale like other Nike shoes—while bulk of these will go on full blast in early 2009.

For those of you who would like to reserve a pair of Lunars (retails at P4,995), below are the contact numbers of Nike outlets.  Nike says there are only 18 pairs each for men and women per outlet, except at Nike Bonifacio High Street where there are 30 pairs for men and 18 for women:

Black Cat, I-Np Glorietta 729.14.73 / 813.00.82

Nike Park – Greenbelt3 757.44.91

Nike Park – Sm Moa 556.07.89

Nike Park – The Fort 856.25.86 / 856.25.87

Nike Park – North Triangle 901.35.47

  8. nike lunar trainer and the lunarlite racer are only available in nike stores here in los angeles and each pair costs $100.00 + 8.25% tax which is more expensive than the price in manila (a difference of almost 90 pesos more when $ is converted to 47 pesos). the lunar trainer is nice but i don’t like semi-curved last shoes and the forefoot are is too wide for my feet. i prefer the lunarlite racer which is too light and sleek for 10K-20K races but not for training. if you want to look like a beijing olympian, these lunar shoes are nice to wear & display. if you want to look like m. phelps and the rest of the usa athletes, get the nike rejuven8. see you soon!

Thanks for the info, BR! See you soon!

  9. can flatfoot runners use nike lunar trainer and lunarlite racer??

Hector of Nike mentioned that it’s okay for flat feet. But, I experienced slight pain on my shins after a 2km run. When available, try running around the store and test it out for yourself.

  11. hi jaymie

the stores have been accepting reservations since monday :) fyi

also, regarding about the shoe for mild flat runners; i am a mild flat runner and i use the lunars as well. the virtual medial post still is no match for true stability shoes – i suggest the same as what tbr said, try and walk / run around the shoe first
