Back from Cebu Holiday

We just returned from a wonderful stay at Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort and Spa and a slow, easy training run during The Great LapuLapu Run at Mactan Island, Cebu City.  Thanks to Noy and Amale Jopson and Janejane Ong for true blue Cebuano hospitality!

As I catch up on the work I set aside over the brief break (and as I take time to write a more detailed post on the race), here are some photos of the fun weekend we had…

    I spotted you about a mile before the finishline. Parang nainitan ka na masyado nun and negotiating the small road with the multicabs. Still you were in great form.

    • Haide! I wish i saw you! You guessed right. Hubby and I had a tough time weaving through the road traffic. But we still had fun. The bridge portion was enjoyable.

  3. My friend and i actually saw you posing in front of Magellan memorial. I told my friend about you. My friend just got home from Taiwan after her studies there. She is a runner too and just got back from injury.

  4. @Jaymie: Nice to know that you had a wonderful time during your holiday in Cebu Province specifically in the Island of Mactan :-) . It was a pleasant surprise to see you at the Great Lapu-Lapu Run (GLLR). I’m a runner too (in my dreams). My hubby, brother, and several friends joined the run though. By the way, regarding your statement, “training run during The Great LapuLapu Run at Mactan Island, Cebu City” — a lot of people really get confused with “Cebu City” and “Cebu Province”. Actually, Lapu-Lapu City and Cebu City are two different cities but both are geographically part of Cebu Province. Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Shangri-la Mactan, Plantation Bay Resort, Imperial Palace, Maribago Blue Waters, etc. are all located in Lapu-Lapu City (not Cebu City). :-)
