Aiming for Balance
So it’s February already. I honestly have no idea where January went. I do remember making a mental note to post about my 2015 goals as I always do, but life got in the way and I’ve been going nuts trying to juggle race organizing, blogging, editorial work, graphic design work, running, working out at the gym, swimming and biking, and, last but not the least, caring for the kiddos, that I never got around to it. Hopefully I jot down my goals before June arrives!
I guess being crazy busy is alright for me as long as I know that my time is being used efficiently and my life is well-balanced. I’ve been working and training hard, but I’m getting enough rest and recovery to keep me fresh for the next day. I’ve been eating relatively well (been super obsessed with salads again), but I’ve spent some weekends baking (and eating) sinful chocolate chip cookies with the little one. I’ve been quite frustrated and saddened over some individuals who try to twist rules to their own benefit, but I’ve also had time to laugh over the silliest things until tears roll down my cheeks. I’ve watched my spending since the start of the year, but I’ve also splurged on some items that I feel I deserve (well, they were on sale too!) I’m awfully busy, but I take short little breaks like these to find my center and breathe so that I can jump into work again with more focus.
How has your 2015 been so far? Let me end this post with a little something I found on Instagram that reminded me about finding balance amidst the craziness of it all:
