[ TBR Dream Marathon 2013: Sold Out! ]
As you probably know by now, this blog crashed Saturday morning when we were set to launch Online Reservation for TBR Dream Marathon 2013. This was due to the high traffic from runners who were eager to register. Our web guys solved the problems, but, as I was about to launch it again at 12noon, the blog crashed again. Sigh. We moved Online Reservation to Sunday 12noon instead and had this blog go “on leave” to free up the load on the site and ensure a smooth reservation process. Needless to say, I’m thrilled to have everything return to normalcy.
The Online Reservation yesterday was smooth, successful, and…must I say…extremely fast! We filled up all 600 slots in all of 32 minutes! Unbelievable!
Thank you to everyone who signed up for TBR Dream Marathon 2013! We know how important your first marathon will be and to have you entrust this special experience with us is an honor.
My apologies again to everyone who was inconvenienced by the reservation issues. We didn’t anticipate the traffic caused by the announced reservation date. Thank you for your patience and understanding. This kind of positive energy is perfect for future marathoners!
[ GOOD NEWS: TBR DREAM MARATHON 2013 slots to increase from 600 to 750 ]
Due to the high demand for slots to TBR Dream Marathon 2013, we decided last night to increase our slots from 600 to 750 runners!
We won’t be reopening reservation. We accepted more than enough sign ups yesterday for all 750 runners plus wait listed runners.
We will be releasing the List of 750 Reserved Runners by tonight or tomorrow so please stay tuned!
Online reservation for TBR Dream Marathon 2013 has been moved to SEPT 1, 2012, 12NOON.
Our apologies to those who woke up at 5:00AM to reserve slots. Our server shut down due to high traffic this morning.
The website is up now (so I could post this note) but it’s still unstable and it’s still being tested by our web guys.
I may not be able to reply to all the emails I’ve received this morning. To answer most questions: 1) We cannot accept reservations. 2) There is no other place to reserve but online via this blog. And, 3) No, you didn’t miss the boat. We haven’t opened reservation yet, so there are still slots for you to reserve.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and hope to see you back at 12noon. For now, go back to sleep or go out and run!

adidas brings back Time to Change Up shoe swap where everyone can donate an old athletic footwear of any brand to bring joy to the children of Hope Worldwide Philippines.
For those who will be giving up their old shoes, each pair is entitled to a discount of Php500 to Php 1000 if you buy a new one. Donations are very welcome till October 07.

Continuing the partnership that they had in 2010 with HOPE Worldwide, a foundation that protects Filipino Children in Especially Difficult Circumstances (CEDC), adidas will once again donate all gathered athletic shoes of any brand to the foundation. In return, adidas will be giving discounts as a way of valuing the generosity of the people who will be participating.
Opening over 100 doors nationwide, anyone who will bring in their old pair of athletic footwear of any brand will be given discounts on a new pair of adidas footwear that they will purchase in store. All they have to do is the following:
1. Bring in your old Athletic Footwear of any brand to receive:
2. Php500 OFF your Footwear purchase worth Php3000- Php4999
3. Php1000 OFF your Footwear purchase worth Php5000 and up
4. *Only regularly priced items are valid.
5. Each discount value is applicable for only one pair of shoes purchased.
6. Bring in as many old Athletic Footwear to avail of the discounts.
7. Only Athletic Footwear is accepted (No sandals, high heels, leather or infant shoes, etc.)
8. Old Athletic Footwear have to be in decent condition and still functional
9. All shoes will be donated to Hope Worldwide Philippines Inc.
