Donate to Yolanda Victims through The Foreign Runner & Secondwind Running Store

Monday, 11 November 2013  |  News + Promos

There are just no words to explain the devastation brought about by Yolanda to our country. At this point, each one of us should really do our part to help out.

Some of you may know Philip Leroux, a runner, triathlete with the Secondwind Triathlon Team, and running blogger (The Foreign Runner). Philip is a missionary based in Cuyo, Palawan. He’s a good friend of mine.

Philip posted this call for support on Facebook and, as relayed by Hector of Secondwind, I’m sharing the message to anyone who would like to help. More details below on where and when to send your donations:

Secondwind Running Store Opens Its 3rd Branch in Greenhills

Wednesday, 4 April 2012  |  Gear + Gadgets

Secondwind Running Store opened its third branch in Greenhills!

Address: Unit 107, G-Strip, Greenhills Shopping Center, San Juan

I just love Secondwind’s new campaign: IT’S ALL YOU. In running (and in life), there’s really no one responsible for your triumph or failure, but yourself. Your coach, teammates, friends and family will be there to support you, but, at the end of the day, it’s all you. That medal around your neck was borne out of your hardwork and perseverance. Conversely, struggling to make it to the finish of a race is also because of your lack of training and preparation. It’s all you!

Or, could they also mean that the store lives and breathes for its customers. It’s all us?! Hey, that works for me too!

Secondwind’s 2011 Runner’s Choice for Shoes

Sunday, 1 January 2012  |  Gear + Gadgets

Secondwind Running store has just released it’s “2011 Runner’s Choice” – a comprehensive list of the top 3 choices for running shoes made by their customers for each category of running shoes: Beginner’s, Trail, Neutral, Neutral (Cushioning), Stability, Stability (moderate), and Lightweight/Racing.

As for the Best Shoe of the Year for Secondwind, guess who won…the KSwiss K-Ona.

Best Lightweight/Racing shoe for women was my very own pair: the KSwiss Kwicky Blade Light. This was my shoe for 2011 too.
