It was a full house last night for the 1st Bull Circle entitled: The Marathon Dream at ROX, Bonifacio High Street.

I started with a talk on my life as a runner, mother, wife and my journey towards my first marathon. I also shared the story of how the concept of The Bull Runner Dream Marathon was born.

Neville Manaois, team principal of Team Pinoy Ultra Runners, co-owner of Secondwind Running Store, and the guy who paced me in the last 10k of my first unofficial marathon, gave a great talk on the history of the marathon and the reasons why thousands of people all over the world are enamored by it.

TBR Dream alumni Bic Ferreria and Ton Gatmaitan shared how they despised running in the past and ended up loving the sport. They shared their experiences running TBR Dream in 2010 and 2011 and gave tips on training for the big day.

Fitness couple Armand and Mitch Mendoza gave a brief introduction on the free TBR DM Weight Management Program that 100 TBR Dream Runners will undergo for free while training for the marathon.

I had a great time meeting some of our runners face-to-face and seeing the excitement and thrill in their faces. Until the next time, TBR Dreamers!

We closed reservation for TBR DM 2012 at 6:30 last night. We filled 500 slots in a mere 7 hours and 30 minutes.

By 8:00 PM, we were convinced that we could accommodate 100 more runners (as we initially planned and as some runners had hoped for) and so, in a snap decision, we did.

We filled 600 slots in 9 hours!  Thank you to all of you for entrusting your first (or second) marathon with TBR Dream.  We are humbled and inspired by you guys!

REGISTRATION FEE: P2,500 PER RUNNER covering TBR Dream Marathon Training Program by Coach Jim Lafferty, 1 training shirt, 1 finisher’s shirt, TBR Dream discount card, training support for 6 months, 6 Bull Session run clinics and 6 Bull Circle running talks, opportunity to get into the free TBR DM Weight Management Program with Armand and Mitch Mendoza, Send Off Party ticket, race kit, medal, and many many more.

HOW TO RESERVE A SLOT:

1. Click on the reservation link below.
2. Fill in information correctly and completely. Information provided in the online reservation will be used for the entirety of the race should you be accepted. Once submitted, you cannot make any revisions.
3. Wait for the complete list of RESERVED RUNNERS which will be posted on www.thebullrunner.com. We will not entertain any queries or requests to be enlisted.
4. If you are listed as a RESERVED RUNNER, wait for registration details to be posted on thebullrunner.com. No follow ups please!  RESERVED RUNNERS will also be notified via TEXT. The organizer will not be held responsible for a runner that fails to note registration details. Failure to appear during the registration period will mean automatic forfeiture of reserved slot.

RULES:

• The race is open to 500 FIRST- or SECOND-TIME MARATHONERS only. We expect honesty and full transparency in your submission.
• Reservation does not mean immediate acceptance into TBR Dream Marathon. The Organizer reserves the right to screen, refuse entry, and/or disqualify a participant.
• We follow a strict first come, first served rule for online reservation.
• TBR Dream Alumni (those who ran TBR Dream once and want to run again) may apply for a 2nd time run.
• Runners from the province or abroad may join as long as they appear on race day.
• No fees will be collected during online reservation.

Hang on to your seats, guys and girls!  Reservation will open in…let’s just say…sometime soon.  We’re just getting ready for all of you to sign in.  We’re fixing up your TBR Dream Marathon Program with Coach Jim Lafferty and Coach Lit Onrubia, finalizing dates and venues for your Bull Sessions, Bull Circles, and TBR Dream Send Off Party, printing your official TBR shirts (different from the Finisher’s Shirt you’ll receive on race day), bumper stickers, and letters all to be claimed upon registration, and partnering with only the best to provide you with the most amazing marathon experience ever.  Man, this is going to be even better than the past TBR Dream Marathons!
