There are just no words to explain the devastation brought about by Yolanda to our country. At this point, each one of us should really do our part to help out.

Some of you may know Philip Leroux, a runner, triathlete with the Secondwind Triathlon Team, and running blogger (The Foreign Runner). Philip is a missionary based in Cuyo, Palawan. He’s a good friend of mine.

Philip posted this call for support on Facebook and, as relayed by Hector of Secondwind, I’m sharing the message to anyone who would like to help. More details below on where and when to send your donations:

Dream Marathon 2014: Bull Circle 3 on Wednesday

See you at our 3rd Bull Circle on Wednesday, November 6, 2013!  Our speaker will be Coach Jim Saret. I highly recommend this talk for those who seriously want to improve their running performance. TBR DM Alumni Jay Caniza will also share his experience running his first marathon.

We are pleased to have ROCKTAPE during our Bull Circle. Here are the benefits that Rocktape is offering TBR-ULAH Dream Marathon participants:

  • Free taping of one area for first 30 Dreamers at the Rocktape Booth during BULL CIRCLE 3.

We’ll have TBRDM Alum Raymond Racaza share his personal experience on running TBR Dream Marathon.  Neville Manaois, Team Principal of Pinoy Ultra Runners and race organizer, will discuss essential gear for marathons.  Hector Yuzon, running shoe guru and owner of Secondwind Running store, will tell you how to choose the right running shoe.  Last but not the least, we have a special guest, running icon Patrick Concepcion, to share with us his passion for running and leave you with tips on running your first marathon.

Save the date also for October 26, Saturday, for our 2nd Bull Session at Track 30th, Bonifacio Global City!

  • Talks are free of charge. No pre-registration required.

Suunto Ambit Triathlon Power Camp with Coach Andy Leuterio

Here’s a Triathlon Camp led by my Coach Andy Leuterio. This is a great tune-up for people planning to join Tri United 3 and 4.

Event: Suunto Ambit Triathlon Power Camp
Date: October 19-20, 2013
Venue: The Village Sports Club

The camp is FREE to all Suunto Ambit users, but you must go to the Suunto Ambit Triathlon Power Camp Facebook Page and follow the instructions to get a slot.

Non-Ambit users may join for a P2,000 fee. Fee includes rental of the facilities of Village Sports Club, talks about training with Pace, Power, and Heart Rate, and lots of swimming, biking, running, and, as my Coach says “other secret physical stuff” training at various intensities.
